Pits & Hips: Shoulder + Hip Mobility for a Freer Spine
Your spine doesn’t move in isolation. This workshop explores how mobility at the shoulders and hips can influence movement through the trunk. Using the Cadillac, Barrels, mat work, breathing, and light resistance, we’ll create more usable range for reaching, rotating, extending, and moving with greater ease.
Thoracic Mobility: Making Space
Explore how breathing, rib movement, and the thoracic spine work together to create more space and ease through the chest and upper back. Using the mat, Spine Corrector, and Cadillac, you’ll practice supported mobility exercises that improve body awareness, spinal control, and freedom of movement. Marking Space and Finding Length Thoracic Mobility Workshops can be taken in any order

Thoracic Mobility: Finding Length
Build usable thoracic mobility through larger-range movement, rotation, extension, side bending, and strengthening. Using breath, props, the Trapeze Table, and Spine Corrector, you’ll explore how the ribs, spine, shoulders, and pelvis work together during more dynamic movement. Thoracic Mobility Making Space and Finding Length workshops may be taken in either order.
Psoas: Muscle of the Soul
Explore the psoas, one of the body’s deepest links between the spine, pelvis, and legs. This workshop looks at hip flexion, extension, posture, breathing, and the relationship between the psoas and gluteal muscles. Using the Cadillac, Barrels, and mat, we’ll create mobility, balance, and usable strength.

Head, Neck & Posture: More Than a Neck Stretch
Explore how the neck is influenced by the eyes, jaw, tongue, rib cage, shoulders, and upper spine. Using gentle mobility, breathing, postural awareness, the Pilates Neck Stretcher, and Cadillac exercises, we’ll improve cervical movement, reduce unnecessary tension, and build better support for the head and neck.
Thankgiving Classes
Start Thanksgiving with a little Planks-Giving at SOMA. Choose from three morning classes based on your turkey size, then head home energized and ready for the day ahead. Move, breathe, and get focused before the cooking, hosting, and feasting begin. Reserve early—Thanksgiving classes fill quickly.
Holiday Closure
SOMA will be closed December 25 for our annual Elf Appreciation Day. A select group of North Pole professionals will receive Pilates, red light therapy, massage, sound baths, and meditation after an especially demanding 2026. Regular human programming resumes afterward. Thank you for supporting our exhausted holiday workforce.
New Year's Classes & Toast
Kick off 2027 with SOMA’s New Year’s Day tradition: six Pilates classes across three studios! Everyone comes together at 10:00 AM for our New Year’s toast. Stay after your 9:00 AM class or come early for your 10:15 AM class.
Raise a glass, festive mocktail or champagne, with your SOMA community as we celebrate strength, movement, connection, and the year ahead.
