Not sure where to start?
Let’s figure it out together

Schedule a short Discovery Call with SOMA’s Owner, Mary Badon-Dickson MD, to talk through what you’re looking for, ask questions, and decide what kind of class, private session, or starting point makes the most sense for you.

What we’ll talk about during the call

  • What you’d like help with

  • What kind of movement experience you already have

  • Whether classes, private sessions, or another starting point make the most sense

  • What to expect if you decide to come in

This isn’t a sales call.
It’s a short conversation to help you understand your options and decide whether SOMA feels like the right fit. If we think another starting point would make more sense, we’ll tell you that too.

You may be a good fit for SOMA if you’re looking for:

  • Individualized attention rather than a crowded fitness experience

  • Pilates or movement instruction that adapts to your body and experience

  • Help figuring out how to begin safely and confidently

  • A studio where instructors know you and your goals

Discovery Call FAQ

How long is the Discovery Call?

About 15 minutes. It’s enough time to talk through what you’re looking for, answer a few questions, and help you decide what kind of starting point makes the most sense for you.

Is there any cost?

No. The Discovery Call is complimentary, and there’s no obligation to book anything afterward. It’s simply a chance to ask questions and see whether SOMA feels like a good fit.

Do I need Pilates experience?

Not at all. Many people begin at SOMA with little or no Pilates experience. With more than 20 years of teaching experience, we’re used to meeting people where they are and helping them build confidence from the beginning.

What if I’m not sure whether I need classes or private sessions?

That’s one of the main reasons to book a Discovery Call. We’ll talk about your goals, movement experience, preferences, and any relevant limitations so we can recommend a sensible place to start. Some people begin with private sessions, while others are ready to move directly into classes.

Will I be pressured to sign up?

No. SOMA’s approach is information-forward and transparent. The goal of the call is to help you understand your options before you even step foot in our studio. This way you can make decisions that feels appropriate for you—not to push you into a package or program.

What if I’m not sure Pilates is right for me?

That’s completely fine. With a medical background and more than 20 years of Pilates teaching experience, Mary can help you think through what you’re hoping to improve and whether Pilates, private sessions, classes, or another approach seems like the best fit. Pilates is highly adaptable and can be used in many different ways—from rebuilding strength and confidence to complementing athletic training.
